Agreement signed to start plan processWednesday, July 6, 2011 By KEVIN PARKS ThisWeek Community Newspapers
The yearlong process for developing a new plan governing development in what is called the "traditional" Northland area is under way.
In the wake of Paul entering into the agreement with the city's planning administrator, Vince Papsidero, a website (
http://development.columbus.gov/planning/northland.aspx) was created to assist with public participation in the process. "You are invited to take part in the development of the Northland I Area Plan," the site states. "The Northland I Area Plan will provide updates and replace the 2001 Northland Plan, Volume I. The planning process was initiated at the request of the Northland Community Council and will take one year to complete. You can participate by attending public workshops or by submitting your ideas and comments to the plan website."
